Kicking off the weekend in style at The Bolney Estate

What could be nicer than toasting the start of the weekend with a wine flight on a terrace

overlooking vines?

There’s increasing opportunities to do this at vineyards across Great Britain as more

introduce cafes, bars and restaurants.

We headed to the Bolney Estate which is a short taxi ride from Haywards Heath station and offers a café/wine bar and restaurant open at various times throughout the week for breakfasts, lunch (including Sunday roasts) and dinner.

We struck lucky on a summer evening when the weather was kind enough to sit outside. We selected our wine flight giving us the chance to taste from their range of sparkling and still wines and complemented this with a sharing board of local Sussex cheese and a few other savoury delights.

The restaurant offers a range of snacks, small plates and large plates so there’s plenty of

choice and looking around us everyone seemed extremely satisfied with their selections.

It was a wonderful spot to watch the sun going down and admire the view.
